Today I submitted my ‘final’ version of my paper. Hoping to go to Boston next semester, it probably won’t be the last time I look at the damned subject of Intellectual Property Rights.
But, after taking econ 300, what have I learned?
DON’T WASTE THE FIRST FEW WEEKS. During the first couple of weeks there wasn’t much [...]

When we write the abstract, should it be on its own separate page or connected to the title page?
Hi everybody,
Thanks for not killing me during my presentation. It is a huge load off now that it is done; however, now I have to start working on the final paper. Deciding whether I should just make corrections to my current paper or start from scratch. Each side has its pluses and minuses. I am [...]
Hi y’all,
Lucky for all of you I’m presenting first tomorrow. I’ve been working on it for the last three days and would like to think I am at least somewhat prepared. Very nervous however, if anyone laughs I’ll most likely cry.
Please feel free to ask easy questions, but if you ask any questions that [...]

Hi everyone,
Its been a while, how are all of you doing? Thats good, glad to hear it. Well… I finished my research paper outline. This is good since I have to present the monday we get back from Thanksgiving Break.
By paper turned out to be about 15 pages in all, including Data Appendix and what [...]
I have slowly started writing the paper. After suffering through writer’s block over much of saturday I finally feel ideas flowing.
But a question came to my mind as I was writing. During the course of eviews testing I changed my empirical model from:
Current Account = f (Services as a % of GDP, Royalties, Real Exchange [...]
So, in regards to my last entry…
Turns out something was wrong, obviously. I talked to Prof. Greenlaw, we ran some more regressions with some altered data in order to prevent the ‘double counting’ that was occurring in the last regression. However, now my data has a high durbin-watson, so autocorrelation is now most [...]
Hi everyone,
JUST FYI, I ran my regression today. I was impressed on the results. Three of my four variables were statistically significant. The results from the coefficients fit my model. The t-stats looked nice; however, the Durbin-Watson Stat was at the 2.7. Not terrible but some autocorrelation most likely is present. And encase you R [...]

The USTR http://www.ustr.gov/) is a good site for general information about US trade. However, finding easily accessible data has been a problem. They had a good deal of information on Intellectual Property, such as the “Priority Watch List” for nations that infringe on US IP.
Let me know if you find any [...]
